Dirty Dancing remake in the pipeline

Dirty Dancing, the 1987 movie that made stars out of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, is set for a film re-make. Lionsgate films have been developing a script with Julia Dahl, writer of Brittany Murphy’s Uptown Girls, but there’s no word on who will take on the iconic roles of Baby and Johnny Castle. We reckon Zac Efron’s in with a chance, especially as High School Musical director Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the original movie, is a favourite to head up the cast and crew. SOURCE: GUARDIAN
