Angelina Jolie broke down in tears today while talking about how her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was the inspiration behind her latest part as Christine Collins in Changeling. “She was just the softest, most gentle woman in the world. She would never get angry; she couldn’t swear to save her life but when it came to her kids she was just really very fierce. So this is very much her and her story in that she was the woman I related to,” the actress said at a press conference at London’s Claridge’s Hotel. Marcheline Bertrand died of ovarian cancer in January 2007 and Angelina has named one of their twins, Vivienne Marcheline, in her honour. SOURCE: GLAMOUR.COM
