I’m a highschool freshman, I don’t really have a lot of stuff. I don’t have a nice bag or nice sunglasses and I just got my chinese new year lucky money and I was thinking if I should spend $90 on a pair on sunglasses (ralph lauren). I don’t dig the brand, I just like the style but what would you think if you saw a teen girl wearing ralph lauren sunglasses?
I also want to get a TNA tote, not those big chunky ones but the sleek black tote. Apparently it costs about 30-something but I’m willing to put aside $50 just incase.
$50bag + $90 sunglasses = $30 left. Should I do it?
If not, what are your suggestions?

I never like to buy expensive sunglasses because you can get the same style at Forever 21 for under 10 bucks…
And Ralph Lauren is kind of boring imo.
Buy cheap sunglasses and then some new jeans or fun tops.

I think it’s worth it, those glasses sound very cute! I’m a teen girl too and if I saw you wearing them i’d prob. be lik “those r cute glasses” haha you could also buy a Juicy Couture bag that is a great invesment and it lasts long, and is always stylish.

it sounds like a good investment since you sais you dont have a lot of stuff. you can own a good pair of sunglasses and a tote that you get to use a lot.
i would probably spent that money on cheaper things that way i can buy more.
but you will probably not see what you spent your money on and feel like it dissolved when if u were to buy these sunglasses you can look at them over and over and say ok thats where my money went.
$90 for sunglasses is ridiculous!! go to a weekend marketplace, and you can get them for cheap cheap!! i think its better to save your money for later when you need it for something that is vital to you, like groceries when your broke and living on your own. go to filenes basement or marshalls or something, they have great prices on good brands. and H&M, they’re the best and very stylish.

1. Ralph Lauren sunglasses:
To be honest, I’ve never had a pair of RL sunglasses… I usually like Marc Jacobs or Armani…many people seem to be attracted to the brand names. However, if it matches you and you really like it, it doesn’t matter what brand (as long as you won’t regret paying the price), you should definitely buy it! But don’t worry about the label or brand name, if it looks good on you, go for it! But I should warn you, you could probably get nice sunglasses for under $50 and use the rest for an outfit to match it with!

Nice choice! It’s easy to be carried away by chunky totes, but it is veryyyy sexy to keep it simple and classy (which obviously you know how!). And $30~50 is a very reasonable price for a totebag.
* One thing that you should remember when shopping is,
Do I WANT this item? Or do I LOVE it? There is a hugeeee difference between the two!
Never purchase anything that’s gonna be left in the back of your closet after a week or two!
Think reasonably, in terms of quality, design, style…

i dont think that the sunglasses are worth it because if you’re looking for something good then get something name brand. i think you should save your money if you dont have anything you REALLY want to get and then buy something nice. like a nice name brand school bag or a nice jacket or purse.
I say you splurge on one thing and the rest of it you spend at retail stores. Although brand names are super cute, everyone knows where you got them so they can get the same ones to or even call you a ‘copy cat’, so if you go to a retail store you’re getting something funky and original. It’s nice to have one or two designer names in your closet, but not to be over run by them. Hope I Helped =)
