Is it safe to carry a luxury bag to school?8 replies

I got a L.A.M.B. tote bag last week. The retail price is $575+tax, but since I bid it online, it comes around almost half of the original price.

Surely it is not as luxury as some very expensive line such as LV, chanel, etc. But it is indeed a luxury for me, since I am still a full-time graduate student and the bag costs me a lot.

I got the bag simply because I like it, and this is the first time I spend such money on bag. I went to a forum and met some fans of L.A.M.B. bag. A girl who got the same tote and carry books with it for school said it is not safe to carry such bags at school.

What do you think? I would like to hear advice from you.

my school is a public one. I think it is safe, but I don’t think many girls here carry luxury bags.

   It probably depends on your school. If there are a lot of people carrying luxury bags or wearing luxury clothes and shoes, it’s safe. If not, I wouldn’t recommend it.

   It depends on the safety of your school. Everyone at my school does. If you want try wearing it for a few days and see what reactions people have or only for special ocassions.

   depends on your school and you
   are a lot of things getting stolen?
   is it going to be in your sight at all times?
   can you fight for it?
   do you want to risk getting it stolen just because it is pretty?

   I’m sure it’d be fine just don’t set it down out of your sight or anything. just make sure you don’t leave it somewhere and always know you have it with you.

   I think it’s fine as long as you keep it with you and keep a close eye on it. I take my Louis Viutton to school and i’m in high school and it has never been stolen. So I think it’s fine, if you go to a nice college than it’s fine.

   I agree with the other guy , also if you keep your bag with you at all times it would be okay , if you leave it unattended no way , also it depends where you put your bag ,on the floor ? on a hook? if so are they clean will it get damaged ? take all that into consideration before taking it to school

   i went to a private school and i had a real
   louis Vuitton handbag i left it locked in my locker and someone broke in and stole it . this could also happen to you so i suggest you use a cheap bag for school and your L.A.M.B. bag for things out side of school.

   I’m assuming that, because you’re a grad student, you’re mature and responsible enough to take care of your belongings. In that case, yes, it’s fine for you to bring it to school, just don’t leave it unattended. Treat it as you would a regular purse.
