How do you clean a ” Do Not Wash” Tote bag?8 replies

I recentrly bought a roxy tote bag. The tag says ” Do not Wash”.
The bag is white, how do i clean it wihtout damaging it?

   What is the fabric of the bag?

   Edit: if it’s cotton, you can probably hand wash it carefully with non bleach liquid laundry soap then hang it to dry or lay flat to dry.

   bring it into a dry cleaner, and they can clean it for you professionally, without causing any damage to the bag.

   This will probually mean do not put it in a washing machine.
   The best thing to do would be to handwash.
   Firstly with no products.
   And if this does not work then try it with some stain removal products.x

   I’d use a gentle detergent like Woolite. Fill up a large bowl or the basin of a sink with tepid water and a little detergent. Gently wash the bag in the water, rinse it well, and either lay flat or hang it up to dry.

   I’ve washed several tote bags this way and they’ve turned out just fine.

   Use an old brush to clean the dirty spots and hang to dry.
