How do I exchange my Vera Bradley Tote Bag?2 replies

I bought the blue owl-print tote bag from a small shop while on vacation. The clerk told me that I could go to any Vera Bradley retailers and exchange it if it got damaged, since all Vera purchases included a lifetime warranty. Well, it’s damaged. Has anyone here ever exchanged a Vera Bradley product? do I need a receipt?I’d just like some instruction on what should happen.
