I am getting a plain blue totebag for school, and I was wondering what are some cool ways to funk it up a bit? I want it to look original and different. I have all sorts of supplies, colours, shapes and textures to decorate it with. I just need ideas!

You can add pins/buttons and patches for a more ‘rocker’ effect,
or you can add rhinestones, sequins, jewelery, and stuff for a funky effect =]
    Hope that helps ^_^

hot glue big colored buttons on it.(from jacket buttons, ect) .sew patches of fabric on the tote. put on pins. paints pictures on the tote. like u can get a stencile and paint objects(hearts, stars, name). glue rinstones on it for a more girly look.
    have fun making it unique!

I would spoof all those fake “designer” bags. Put on some logos like Chanel, Gucci, Louis, etc….

ok well you could glue rhinestones on, use fabric markers to draw on the bag, or do little designs with markers/sparkles, you could draw a picture of something you love (a pet or a figure or something) and make an outline of it on contact paper stick it on the totebag and spray bleach the shirt then take the figure off….i do it to plain shirts and it looks totally cute!!!!!

fabric paint and stencils. stencil out your fave lyrics, or inside jokes

glue on rhine stones with fabric glue to make it glam.

one word: DECOPUAGE!! cut out magazine pics and words to suit your style and glue them on. then brush on fabric gue on top to make them stay in place. then add soem rhine stones

ut out fabric shapes in diff prints and sew them on. make them over lap or form a pattern

have friends scribble mesages on with a silver and gold sharpie.
