Company Name Idea – Tote Bags?10 replies

My friend and I are making bags to sell at a farmers market. They are trendy totebags with great design. We are trying to think of a fun, catchy name that speaks to their great design, and appeals to women that are looking for style in a tote. We aren’t sold on the company name having to have the word bag or anything in the name; a catchy and fun name is more important to us. Any suggestions?
These are great suggestions. THANK YOU! Now, to take it all a bit further, what if the company name didn’t only sell totes? I love the eco-friendly suggestion, because we are marketing them as re-usable and earth friendly – not only for groceries. We may also sell other other earth-friendly product with ‘style’ such as lips balms, recycled cotton tshirts, etc. Our target market is someone who wants to do their part and make earth conscious decisions, without giving up style. Thoughts on a company name that represents all of that in a fun catchy way?

   I have been in advertising for years and it needs to be something really different. I like Goat Tote. People will remember the name and in advertising name recognition is the highest importance. Good luck. Use an eco friendly material and tie a bright green ribbon on the handle to signify that it is “Green friendly.” Be sure you put a thick heavy duty strap on the bag so it can be used for shopping and many other uses over and over again. Then you will get repeat business.

   How about a phraise that is often used “I love your bag”

   Call it simply –

   “Love Your Bag Totes”

   Then when someone says “i love your bag, where did you get it”, the response stands out as “from love your bag totes”.

   Have you researched with farmers, in the area. It make be the words are found to be a turn off. I dont know many farmes who would worry about style. Most get up at 5 to check the weather or milk the cows. Also has research shown farmers to enjoy catchy and fun names. Think they may be more practical. Try testing 100 farmers. It would be more valuable.
