Hi, i’m doing a project and i need to know what kind of colours, patterns, ribbons, shapes… whatever you would love to ADD to a plain standard tote bag. (Basically fabric rectangle with straps) Let your imaginations run wild!!
Personally mine would be a deep dyed violet tote with an apple green ribbon across it and the sewn message: “harmony. a lustre in it’s sky” (obviously!!)

Longchamp, a French company, has a US site where you can configure their different folding totes in different colors and straps.
Okay–I would want scarlet embellished with two struos if black velvet ribbon with long handles that would fit over my shoulders with a zipper-top, and it could be lettered “A Study in Scarlet’ after the Conan Doyle story or “For a Scarlet Woman”.
Or turquoise with white banding at the top trimmed with eyelet lace and the words “Faith, Hope, and Love Abide…”
or “Turquoise Dreams”
Or rainbow fabric with black trim and the message in black :Love is a Many-Splendoured Thing”
I like the LL Bean Tote and Boat bags because they are well made and you can get them monogrammed.
They are reasonably priced under $30.00.
They also last forever.
Lands End also makes the same kind of bag.
I did find a tote bag in South Carolina like the LL Bean bag but had navy blue ribbon and the palmetto tree at a grocery store
around $15.00.
