im in 7th grade, so don’t judge me, i dont plan on wearing make-up anytime soon! i know a lot of soon to be 8th graders who wear makeup, eyeliner, mascara, in 7th grade (btw, it looks crooked,LOL). when is it normal to wear eyeliner or makeup, without making u look slutty.

well, you should start practicing now so that when you actually do wear it, it looks good. just practice when you are bored and then wash it off. if you use it in appropriate proportions, then it doesn’t look slutty. you just have to work with it to get used to it.
I started wearing simple eyeline and mascara in 8th grade.
I would suggest starting with pencil eyeliner, since it takes alot of practice to get a nice thin line (unless that’s not what you’re going for). Then, as you become more “advanced” with it, try liquid.
Also, outlining the ENTIRE eye isnt always beneficial. For example, alot of girls eye line the whole bottom of their eye. For some, it works and looks great, but for others, it just darkens the eye. For me, I only eyeline the bottom from the outside tip, to the middle.
Sometimes I use different eyeshadows to tone down the blackness of the eyeliner sometimes. I also love the color of blush as eyeshadow xD.
However, just mascara can make your eyes pop a bit, too

To me, the purpose of wearing makeup is to look nice! Once people look nice, they feel better about themselves, which makes them more confident, and so on.
Of course, that all depends on WHY you wear makeup. Like I said, it me, it makes me feel good. As long as you’re wearing it just for yourself and for no one else, it will be evident that you’re not being slutty.
I’m willing to be that all those 7th graders are wearing it to impress the boys. Ha.
Whenever you want to wear it for your own comfort, that is the right time.

About 9th grade its a good age and eyeliner is fine to wear and i t wont make u look slutty just make sure that u know how to put it on correctly and ur young which means u wont need much makeup trust me is u wear make up too soon when u get older its gonna show

im pretty good at though so it does not look trashy

I say you just practice at home for now and start when you go into 8th grade for the first day…..that way you will be good at applying it by then and plus if your friends have never seen you with it….it would be like a new you!!!!!!!
I personally think it depends on the persons look, style and how they feel about it. I didn’t even want to wear makeup until I believe 9th grade. A good way to wear make up to make features pop and help things like acne be less noticed with out looking slutty is to do you makeup so it looks natural. Don’t over do it that’s the problem with people who look gross with make up is they don’t do it right. So moisturize, put on a basic foundation,concealer only if needed,and a lil powder to set it. Very lightly use your blush (a lot of people mess up there) and when you use eye liner do it close to the lash, shadows can be done so many ways but in 7th grade who cares to do that anyways, guys like girls that look natural, and put on a little mascara maybe a lip gloss or chap-stick and your done, with out looking like a slut.
