Like, eye makeup especially – my eyes don’t look OR feel awake at all. What can I do to brighten up my face?

Try putting a little bit of shimmer in the corner of your eye, near your tear ducts. That brigthens up eyes.

White eyeliner also makes eye appear bigger, I don’t know if that will help with making your eyes look more awake.

For me, a good blush and mascara can go a long way. Make sure to curl your lashes to open up your eyes, and don’t line your eyes with black eyeliner.

Bright colours and shimmers make faces POP, so work with those.

So do you look awake as the day goes on? If so, start out by splashing cold water on yer eyes a few times. This constricts the blood vessels and takes away any puffyness. You can even keep a spoon in the fridge and apply it to your eyes to minus the puffy.
I wear a lot of mascara so even when my face is clean my eyeballs have a film on them so I use some visine too.
Make sure and find a concealor made for the eyes, not an all over foundation. You can use it underneath the eye for any bags. Do a littlle research on the net because they make crazy colored eye concealor, like green, but somehow its supposed to work with yer skin tone and eliminate dark circles.
To make yer eyes look bigger use white eyeliner ONLY on the bottom lid, u can even go over yer lashes with mascara again if some of the white gets on them. This REALLY opens up the eye. Also, be careful with black eyeliner. So many girls cake it on and it makes eyes look way smaller.

sometimes you see pics of actresses with white eye liner on their eyelid, not below the eye. go to a makeup counter and ask them how to apply that.

Here are some tried-and-true ways to make yourself look awake and refreshed (even if you were out all night partying):

    1. Wash face with cool water
    2. Get a really cold compress and apply it over your eyes. A good way to do this for example, is by chilling a metal spoon in the freezer overnight, and applying it under the eyes. This should really reduce the puffiness and make you feel more awake.
    3. Apply a concealer under the eyes. This should hide any undereye bags.
    4. Sweep a light shimmery powder along the inner corners of the eyes and along your brow bone. This will simply highlight your eyes and make them seem “glowy”.
    5. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and swipe a few coats of mascara on. This is the most effective step you could do to make your eyes look refreshed and awake.
    6. If you have time, line the bottom inner rims of your eyes with a white eyeliner. This will give the illusion of bigger and brighter eyes.

***By the way, put a bit of blush on the apples of your cheeks and some lip gloss to give your face that extra wash of color

I have the same problem. (waking up at 5:30..ewwww!)
So i but a light kindof shimmery powder to run just under my eyes, and along the sides of my nose.
then you can get a peach or white liner and line the inside corners of your eyes (this is a trick early-morning news anchors use)
a good blush/bronzer helps wake your face up as well.
    thnx good luck

curl your lashes it opens them and makes u look awake, some black mascara like the define-a-lash by maybelline it makes your lashes longer and not clumped drawing attention to your eyes, eye liner on the top of your eyes, not black- if your eyes are hazel line them with a forest green, if they are brown a saphhire blue, if the are green wiht amethyst purple, ad if they are blue burgundy browns
just line the top with pencil not liquid. hope i helped!

make sure to add some lipgloss cuz other wise youd look wierd with all of the eye makeup and then nothing else.

i use navy blue eyeliner on the inside of my eyes (navy makes white pop, black makes eyes shrink) and use eye drops to get rid of any redness then i curl my eye lashes and apply mascara. i use the st ives de-puffing stress relief eye gel (like $4 at walmart) and i keep mine in the fridge so when i rub it on my eyes it gets rid of puffiness and makes me feel more awake anyways)

if all else fails splash ur face with reallllly cold water..it gives ur skin a healthy rosy glow and trust me that WILL wake u up haha

There is a product made by Bare Escentuals called “Well Rested” which is a yellow tinted concealer/eyeshadow base. It became so popular, they now make it in a larger size! The only problem is the price (about $18 for the large size), but there are similar products on eBay. Try Happy-Minerals store, they have a product called “Wide Awake” for about $4-$6. I have used it and not only do I look much more awake, but the area around my eyes is much softer! (I have only tried the happy-minerals kind from eBay, I’m cheap…)
My co-workers have now stopped asking how late I went to sleep….

Use a yellow concealer (like NYC’s) or a pink pencil on the inner corner of your eyes.
