I had this problem in High school. I use cover girl oil control powder. I learned to stay away from thick foundation because it holds in oil. I also used Dial soap for a long time and moustrized with Oil of Olay. Make sure that everything you use is oil free. I went to the dermatologist and this is the routine he told me to use when I had problems and I wear make up everyday. I still have an occasional breakout but not nearly as bad as they used to be.

If you have acne from oily skin, I would suggest a line from Almay. I’m not sure of the exact kind, but it has medicine in it to fight acne. It is oil free and will not clog your pores. I have acne-prone skin and I have never broke out from it.

I would know. First of all, wash your face. Then, use a netrogena (sp!) toner, and brush it over your face. Then, get some acne healing cream, and put it on, then, use almay products… or neutragena. There are even some products with acne fighting stuff in them. I use Covergirl light foundation to cover up acne, and Almay eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Don’t wear none. Ur face needs to breath so the pores do not get cloged. I have acne and I can not wear makeup at all. Mary Kay cosmetics has a good acne cream to use for acne.

Well with an acne problem you want to make sure you are using the best face cleanser also. It is always good to use the same product. I am a Mary Kay consultant and help with this all the time. For example we have great acne fighting medictaions/cleansers, but the good thing is our make up works great with our other products. Making it even better for your skin. See you are putting a particulare makeup on with particular ingrediants. you need to make sure you are using the correct cleanser to take off those ingrediants.

also drinking lots of water and getting sleep along with a good skin care regime will help.

Let me know if you need more help.

bare minerals works well…also, proactiv solutions has a line of make-up you can buy, as well as their well-known acne treatments…although these things may be somewhat more expensive…it is worth it…you only get 1 chance to make a first impression

Cover girl Clean makeup, the foundation and powder both have noxema ingredients and help your skin breathe and heal from acne-without too much of a thick covereage. It gives you good coverage though. The best way to get your skin in top condition so that your make up has a nice base, and u will need less try pro-active that has helped many people with acne. And no amount of make up will make the acne go away, you need to clear up the acne first. Good Luck!
p.s.- drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
