I need to sanitize some makeup and I’ve heard that I should use rubbing alcohol – however this is only avaliable in the US and apparently the UK equivalent is Surgical Spirit. Has anyone used this before?
Thanks!

dont use surgical spirit, it will ruin them and could cause an allergic reaction. instead, clean brushes with a tiny bit of liquid wool wash in warm water. just dip them and swish the hairs gently with your fingers, but only as far as the metal, never get the wood wet if you use wooden brushes because then the brushes can fall apart. rinse, then leave to dry with the bristles hanging over the edge of a table. i do this all the time and it works wonders.
if you want to sanitize make-up i really wouldnt reccomend it, stuff like that contains really harsh chemicals that can cause rashes, breakouts etc. hope this helps : )
