How should I do my makeup for my upcoming performance?1 replies

I have a performance (choral ensemble) in a few days. The attire is a solid black, nearly floor length, long sleeved dress (and no jewelry). I’m very pale and have blonde hair/blue eyes and, thus, always end up looking washed out, no matter what I do.

Any tips for how I should do my makeup, specifically ways to make my face not look so ghostly? Also, eye makeup tips would be beneficial.

use a basic liquid foundation to get a base down. then layer over with a heavy foundation, like that matte mousse stuff. then apply a cream or liquid blush, not a powder cuz that won’t show good. don’t do a dark color though, try for pinks since you’re a blonde. this will make you look natural and not fake, but not pale either. then for eyemakeup, just line your eyes lightly, if you dont usually do it try gray liner. use a lot of mascara to make your eyes pop. don’t put on glitzy eyeshadow, if you want to put some on stay neutral tones like browns and very light pinks, and maybe a little gray. if you really wanted to you could buy those color things from almay for blue eyes, those actually do help. plus you can use the eyemakeup for other times, not just this performance. all of this will look natural, just make sure you rub it in rly good and have the right skintone match. trust me im a dance i do a lot of recitals, i always use these + fake eyelashes, it makes me look rly natural. & good luck!
