I am interviewing for management positions in a couple trendy companies and want to appear stylish but not gaudy. I know you should err on the side of conservatism for most interviews, but how does this apply to makeup?
I have a fair skin tone, blue eys and blond hair.
- What do employers in fashion shops look for physically?
- What is a good fashion youtube username?
- What are the top schools for fashion in the united states? I am looking in to fashion coordinating so far?
- GIRLS: how many purses, tote bags, ect. do you have?
- How do I wear makeup to school when I have to play sports right after school?

Read some very effective make up tips and more on this site to help you with it
eFirst and foremost make sure your eye brows are well groomed and perfectly arched if not it will ruin your whold look…have a nice clean classy look try a bit of liner on your upper lids with brown mascara not black cuz you are fair skinned use a peachy blush on the apple of your cheeks with an appropriate color on your lips ( I don’t know what your wearing so I’m not going to suggest any color)
for the actual interview you should stay low on the make up. show you style with you outfit, like a trendy skirt suit and some hot peep toes or sexy boots. as far as the make up goes…. natural shades or pastels for the eye shadow, light on the eye liner, and dramatic mascara. natural blush with a soft lip gloss. employers don’t want to see how much crap you can put on your face, they want to see how you’re representing their company. after you are a little more established at the place of employment you can start expressing yourself a little more.
Strive for a natural look. No heavy eye make-up or bright lipstick. Use just light mascara and a little navy blue eyeliner. Pink blush and some pink lipstick. Less is more in this situation.
ok so you have blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin….well you should apply some face illuminator, then foundation for fair skin and concealer, some mocha eyeshadow, brown or black mascara, some face pearls and a cafe au lait lipstick and do your hair in a pony tail or in an up do; or you can apply all the things until the concealer and a cool blue eyeshadow, black mascara and soft pink lipstick. and paint your nails in both cases in a nude color
. good luck with the interview!! hope you’ll get the job!
put your hair up, neat and tidy that always looks professional! as for makeup and appearance make sure your skin looks fresh and go for a natural/day looks with maybe a little gloss! but no too much! id say nude/pink lips with a little blusher mascara and maybe a very subtle creamy/Goldy eyeshadow! why not get your nails manicured or nice and short with a lovely classic dark co lour on them (not red) it’ll make you look professional, classy and clean.
It depends on what you are wearing for your interview.
The best advise I can give you is to stick to something classic and not wear something overly bold to where people pay attention more to your make-up rather than your actions and your words during the interview.
I wish you the best of luck and I am sure you will do great! Just remember confidence is the best thing to have.
you want to look natural not to much color. try to look professional
First of all, don’t try make up for the first time when getting dressed for an interview. Use only products you have tried out several times before.
Go for a matte natural looking face and use a bit of blush. Basic eyeshadow (nudes, gold or grey)and lining of the eyes (black or navy) is ok but nothing too over the top. Mascara is essential. Also pay attention to your eyebrows and make sure they are neat and groom them with a bit of gel if they look untidy.
Use a lipstick that is closest to your natural lip color and avoid shimmery gloss. A natural shine is much better and also make sure that your nails are manicured or look presentable.
The whole image matters.
Good luck to you!!
