I have never really worn makeup before, but I really want to.My parents don’t think its right. Ineed to talk to my mom about it but I don’t know how to start. Also, they don’t let me wear bikinis. Iwore them in 6th and part of 7th grade, but it has nver become a problem until now. I want to tell my parents that I am responsible enough to wear one, but I don’t know how. Any help?

I would let them know that part of how u express yourself is through how you dress and what make-up you choose to wear. Maybe by telling them that the make-up is more of an accessory rather than a vanity issue they might fold. Also I would recommend letting them know just because you want to do these things doesn’t mean you’re trying to grow up too fast but rather you are trying to express yourself by displaying your own unique sense of self and style.

well…i used to be able to wear bikinis to but…the main thing is that as we get older our bodies get hotter…so our parents dont want us showing it off…lol…i have become content with wearing one pieces though…i have a cute vintage one piece from babyjo.com…its so cute…lol and i think the makup thing will be fine with her as long as you only wear what you need…if you curl your eyelashes and whear lipgloss…its basicall not much but it does a whole lot…

It all depends on your age!
Tell your parents that you would like to wear make up but that you promise to keep it light . About the bikini I would wait until next year ,first ask for one thing, otherwise it might be too much for them to handle. You must be patient!

Show them how responsible you are by doing more chores and helping out. Also get good grades. When you think the time is right (2- 3 weeks after) ask them!!

It is hard for some parents to accept that their child in getting bigger, becoming a girl, a teen, a young adult. They like to think that they will always take care of them, but it is up to you to show how responsible you already are. Ask you mother when she first wore makeup, how she felt, what the guys said, show her that once she had gone through the same situation. In terms of biquini try not to be much quini. And remember one at a time, first makeup thennnnnn biquini.

about the makeup, Just say i think I feel ready to wear makeup. and then ask her to show you how. But if you dont want to ask her directly, maybe ask your dad or an older sibling to try and persuade her to let you.
