Now that the weather is getting warmer, my makeup has been melting off from the heat. How do i get it to stay on, and not have it melt?
-thanks.
when i say melting i mean like slowly coming off from sweat cuz its so hot. I don’t get my makeup wet, i never said that.

Try not wearing as much foundation/cover up. Instead, use more powder, or use a powder that IS a concealer/foundation base (but a powder form). Covergirl makes a great powder. It comes in a black case, and is square. I love it.

My friends and I spray our faces with hair spray. Makes the make-up stick better. Sounds crazy but it actually works. We live in Florida so we had to come up with something. Hope this helps =]

Use PRIMER before you put on makeup..
Its just as important as the makeup itself..

Urban Decay has some very good ones!

Good luck. Great question for summer.

Freeze 24/7 and carry some face powder, and there are also papers, like Rice paper in stores like Ulta. They have a powder there that keeps your face makeup in place all day. but, no matter what you do, you must do a little touching up. good luck

First of all you might want to use an oil free primer so it helps your makeup stay on for longer. Try a long lasting colorstay foundation. Foundatons nowadays tell you for how many hours they’ll usually last.

okay. i know your gonna think i`m insane, but what helps me is putting a very thin layer of that white elementary school glue, you know, the liquid kind, and eventally it absorbs into my skin
you like cant even knotice it!! :D

try using a tinted moisturizer and loose powder. since it’s light and the tinted moisturizer really clings but doesn’t clog it won’t melt. i use the organic wear tinted moisturizer and it works great esp because i live in a dry place and i don’t like heavy makeup. so just give it a try.

    heres an idea
    dont sweat

I think that in the summertime, less is more. Try using a powder foundation, so that when you sweat the makeup wont smear causing lines. I use Physicians Formula Organic Pressed Powder. The powder conceals imperfections best when applied with a foundation brush. You can build your coverage level to how you want it AND it doesn’t feel gross on your face even if it mixes with sweat. I love it! Also, before touching up your face, use a Clean and Clear Oil absorbing sheet. This will remove any excess oil without removing any of your makeup. They are essential to keeping your skin clear and dry during the summertime.

try clean and clear oil sheets =] they’ll take care of the oil and the sweat on your face without removing your make up.
oh please don’t try the hairspray thing, its terrible for your skin and may cause zits

    ♦ FACE ♦
    ……………………………..

◙ Before putting on makeup, it helps for you to put on moisturizer first before you put on makeup. Let it sink into your face for 15 minutes and then apply your foundation.

◙ Putting on layers of makeup will cause it to sweat off very quickly. Put on thin layers of makeup.

    ◙ Maybelline sells waterproof concealers.

◙ Using a pressed powder to set your foundation helps keep your makeup on longer.

◙ A cheek tint is better than a powder blush. It stays on your skin and won’t run when you sweat.

    …………………………………
    ♦ EYES ♦
    …………………………………

◙ Prep eyelids with foundation or a primer before putting on eyeshadow.

◙ Before putting on eyeliner, dip in in a little bit of Visine eye drops. Then apply it to your eyes. The drops help set the liner. Or just get a waterproof eyeliner.

    ◙ Wear waterproof mascara.

    ………………………………
    ♦ LIPS ♦
    ……………………………..

◙ Lip pencils stays on for a really long time. Long lasting lipsticks or lips glosses stay on as well. Avoid wearing any creamy formulas.

◙ Apply pressed powder everywhere after you’ve finished applying your makeup.

You can avoid makeup “melting” by using good primers and setting powder. A foundation primer and eyeshadow primer will make all the difference in the world. Also, be careful not to touch your face, if you get sweaty or it’s humid or your skin gets oily, use blotting papers instead. Too faced has some really good ones. They will remove moisture/oil without messing up your makeup.
