What is the best filling for homemade bean bags?4 replies

I’d like to make some palm-sized bean bags for children. Someone told me that rice was better than beans as a filling because if it gets loose it is less likely to be a choking hazard or to get stuck up a child’s nose. Is this true? Or are beans okay? What kind of beans, rice or other filling would you recommend?

I just seen bean bag kit at Meijer’s last night… They had like plastic like fabric in several different colors,,, and separate bags of like plastic of styrefoam looking beans,, said bean bag fillings,,Wasen’t interested enough to even look at price,,www.meijers.com

As for children choking on beans versus rice, Iam not sure,, I guess as in all small items could be a choking hazard for small children,,
