its authentic of course… it is illegal to sell counterfeit items. all the stuff at nordstrom rack is the stuff that doesnt sell at nordstroms, or is from last season. tj maxx is from various stores. everything is on sale, but it depends. like you can get seven for all mankind/true religion/etc jeans for like $100, but it depends on everything. i got a juicy zip up for like 20 bucks. i have gotten tons of stuff, juicy couture, designer jeans, accessories, handbags etc. the thing is, the merchandise is always changing, so if you see something, snatch it up, dont expect it to be there next time! :)

They’re all real, but don’t expect to find them easily. Cheap=sells fast. Cheap and real=abnormality to spot one.

The vast majority of the items at Nordstrom Rack are out of season or older products. Items in the store get 2 markdowns, usually to half of the original price and then it gets what’s called ‘Racked.’ This is basically clearancing out an item and is determined when the price ends in .97 – as in $12.97. These are usually phenomenal deals on last season’s merchandise – there’s nothing wrong with them, the stores just have to make room for the season’s next big thing!

Now, SOMETIMES, the Rack store get a handful of duplicate items that are new in the Full Line Stores, that are marked down, which is a TRUE find. TJ Maxx is an entirely different entity from Nordstrom, but I have had friends have great luck going through their merchandise as well!

    Of course it’s real.
Nordstrom rack is where all the sale items from the regular Nordstrom go and the same with TJ Maxx.

What most of everyone has said is generally true. Nordstrom rack and TJ Maxx sell undesirable designer products, including those that are: over/under-sized, partially damaged, samples, or off seasons.

HOWEVER, it would be wise to be extra cautious. You see, the leniency of the return policy is somewhat high and there have been cases where an authentic product has been purcashed and a fake; returned.

I would suggest using authenticating sites such as honestforum.com or authenticforum.com. These two sites are excellent sources of knowledgeable experts, especially for denim. They also have guides that help you spot fakes. It’s never wrong to be too sure!
