How do you tell the difference between fake and real Louis Vuitton handbags?18 replies

I do not know the difference between both.

   There are good fakes and not so good fakes. 1 tell-tale sign is in the quality & color of the leather.

   if u look inside the bag, it will have a label of some sort that says Louis Vuitton. Also, on the zipper, there will be a logo.

   Well for one if someone on the street is selling it, it most likely is fake. Luis Vuitton is expensive so if you get it for cheap, fake! Also look on the inside where it says made in… REAL Luis Vuitton will have a ligther Made In writing then fake Luis (The black indentation of the words will be lighter).

   the fake ones still have legs and sometimes blood is still dripping down. if it makes an animal noise when you pick it up that means it’s either fake or you just farted.

    I can’t have both screens up at once to copy it (my computer is jacked up) but if you go Ebay and go to hanbags in Louis Vuitton, go to the left hand side and there will be an article that someone has written about it. It describes how you can spot a fake in every detail. Read before you buy. Good luck.

    I would have to agree with what everyone else has already said. The best way to tell is to look at the price tag. I just want you to know that I have a fake one and no one can tell but get the smaller ones.

    99% of them out there are fake. There is nothing I hate more than seeing all these regular people carrying fake LV bags…I don’t believe for a second they had $3000+ for a handbag. I sure don’t, and if I did I could find something a whole lot cuter than an LV logo/Murakami bag!

    Sorry for the rant, but if you look closely at it, the real ones will have much better quality stitching and detailing both inside and out.

    Sometimes the symbol of the Louis Vuitton bag is in a different form, and has different shapes around it. But if it is identical to the real one, you check inside the bag to see if it says Louis Vuitton Made in France. If there is nothing inside then it is fake.

    Louis Vuitton handbags are really expensive, and they have they’re logo on all their designs. See if they’re logo or name is messed up or anything – they can’t make it EXACTLY the same.

    on the bottom of the bag there are metal pegs and on the fake they are plastic!!!!

    look on the inside if the word louis vuitton is not on the inside of it then it is fake

    You can tell by the main thing that Louis Vuitton and many other luxury brands like this is trying to show is QUALITY. Just look at the way handbag is done. The stitching, the zippers, the little gold circles should say Louis Vuitton around it, do the gold parts rust?, is the bag falling apart?, the actual design, is everything in place?. Every single little detail is there and it remains the same for every single one of each design. Note that real Louis Vuitton does not ever break or fall apart.
