Go to the Dollar store, but do it soon, before they are sold out of candy.
You can get a lot of candy, for a fraction of what you’d pay at the supermarket. I wouldn’t bake for strangers, because kids are only supposed to eat wrapped treats. Their parents will only throw them out.
You could bake for kids you know in the neighborhood, though, and that would be fine. Everyone loves cookies and brownies, and you can get a mix on the 10 for $10. sale at Acme, or even at the dollar store sometimes.
