Any information will be appreciated.

I haven’t heard anything about this, but if they already have their tickets then the baggage allowance shown on them will stand.

it depends on what airlines you are flying. certain airlines will only give you one check in. others will give you two. you’d have to go check the website to confirm how many free check in baggages you can have.

I am a flight attendant for a major commercial airline that flies extensive international and domestic routes as well. I heard about this new carry on luggage fee. I heard that starting Aug. and possibly as early as July 2008, airlines will start charging for rollerbags or garment bags brought onto the aircraft as carryon. You are only allowed to have one personal item free of charge such as a small purse, briefcase in the economy class. This is to offset the price of jet fuel.

It all depends on what airline you are flying, so you should contact the airline or check their website baggage’s policy. Some airlines are in fact charging a fee for your second bag checked, while others are charging a fee for the first bag checked as well.

It’s better to visit the website of that airlines and check their baggage’s policy or you can directly contact that airlines. It depends upon airlines to airlines, some of them allow and some of them not.

It varies by airline, and it’s to offset the rising cost of fuel .

All airlines have adopted the “1 free checked bag” policy with the exception of American. They are charging $15 for the 1st checked bag and $25 for the 2nd. I imagine that other airlines will follow suit. There is also a 50lb weight limit. If it goes over 50, there is an $80 charge. We went over our weight by 2 pounds and had to stuff things into our carry-on at the last minute. I recommend weighing the suitcase at home on the scale.
