yes, you’re allowed to bring your bags in.
i haven’t been to one since last year, so i don’t know if they’ll actually check the bags, but they’ll most likely let you bring them in. =)

They do not generally inspect bags, if that’s what you mean, but you will probably have to leave your shopping bags at the coat check area (you will pay a couple of dollars per bag for that service). Broadway theaters are old and there’s very little space to put bags at your feet or under the chair.
