Good, stylish appearance. Open, friendly and helpful approach.
Heres what we look for;
1) Outgoing personality – If your very shy u wont be going up to customers to help and advise them. This is the most important element in our business. The customer is king (Eh Queen)
2) Fashion sense – Doesn’t have to be what we sell but if u know what your on about the customer will trust your judgement
3) Retail experience – You are going to be selling afterall. We train but any experience is an asset.
Hi
Customer focused & enjoy interacting with the public will be very much featured part of what employers will look for. They will also look to gain knowledge to see how you could cope in stressful situations and how you deal with it for example
Have you ever had to deal with a difficult customer (if haven’t got any experience on this end you can use it as a scenario)
your reply
I dealt with it as efficiently as possible & helped find a solution with a smile on my face!!! They will of course ask what if they persisted etc
You could reply with I dealt with as efficiently & politely as possible unfortunately I did everything I could for them so I tend directed the complaint to my manager etc
I would say it’ll be mainly focused on that area but possible depending on the store they may also focus on fashion however I don’t have experience in that line!
Good Luck
