Usually BMI isn’t something modeling agencies look at first when they’re considering hireing a model, they tend to look at the models measurements and then weight. The average models measurements are 34 for bust 24 for waist and 34 for hips. Their weight can range anywhere from 100-130 pounds depending on how tall the model is which can range anywhere between 5’8″ to 6’1″. There has been a requirement passed in Milan, Italy that and model under the age of 16 must have a BMI higher than 18.5. For example, a model who is 5’8″ and under the weight of 122 cannot participate in any runway shows.
