I really want to do fashion journalism but I’ve heard some mixed reviews about the fashion journalism courses at University of the Creative Arts and London College of Fashion. Is it better to just study fashion journalism or to study the broader journalism field or even just English? Is it better to just do a fashion journalism short course?
I’d also really like to know what universities are the best to get to my dream career.
Your suggestions would really help
Thanks
- I am doing a fashion project and was wondering, to get a head start, what would i have to include?
- What are some interesting facts about fashion photography?
- Does anybody know a fashion website to find a job in fashion industry?
- Is there a fashion designer to send my designs to?
- What is a good alternative ranking system for a fashion show?

Many choices to a much asked question:-

Why don’t you try emailing your question to fashion mags like Vogue, Elle etc. and the newspapers who have fashion supplements. If you ask enough of them your bound to get some answers. Good luck.
history.
the fashions of the moment mirror the psychological and political trends of their society.
read any book by fashion historian james laver. it will help.
you need to focus on developing skills in demand of journalists (the field is going through some very DRAMATIC transitions) and then just read as much as you can about fashion, start a blog about fashion, where you should even do some video storytelling. Check out these interviews on the future journalist. I think they will help:
