I’m going to be a senior in high school and want to know the steps I should take to become a fashion merchandiser. Ideally I’d like to be a buyer. What classes should I take? What college programs should I enroll in? And after completing everything, how do I actually get my foot in the door? I live in Oregon if anyone knows any good schools there. Thanks so much

Here are some schools in Oregon that have Fashion Merchandise Programs but make sure you enroll in accredited if at all possible…
You should receive help towards the end of your program from the school but in case you don’t my suggestion is to work in retail while going to school to build a relationship w/ people who can help you…

Oh yeah, if you have electives you can take while being a sr in high school try taking a home economics class or something where you learn the basics of sewing it isn’t 100% important but knowing the construction of clothing is important.
