I know theres a big fashion festival in mid June but my friends and I are going to be in montreal in the beginning of june so we’ll miss it. I’m a fashion major at my university and would love to go to a fashion show or at least some fabric stores, or to see what the montreal fashion scene is really like. Any ideas where we should go? Is there a fashion district like in New York?

Some great “fashion streets” are St Catherine (big stores like Urban Outfitters, H&M, Mango, BCBG, Betsey Johnson, Guess) St Denis (boutiques) St Laurent (Lola & Emily and Icici), Greene Avenue, and Sherbrooke West in Westmount (refined stores like Bluemarine&Co.) The city is filled with the fashion-conscious: hipsters, non-hipsters, semi-preps (in Uggs and Chanel leggings), people who dress to impress.
