Do they use fashion designer, do they manufacturer it themselves, or do they get it manufactured overseas??? How do they make so many pieces for retail of such good quality?

They design most of the couture things themselves. They also employ other designers to help them. They usually put together the first outfit and let seamstresses take over from there. They have very high QC standards to ensure good quality.
They start by making sketches, then they either construct each piece themselves or have someone make them for them. Then they decide which they want to retail and they ship the patterns and sketches to factories (usually overseas) where they make the outfits in bulk.
They have a team of designers and seamstresses that help them produce the clothes with great quality. High fashion designers are mega-rich, so they can afford to hire professionals that know how to construct garments.
