I think all the designs for clothes have been done so now there will just be the ‘customising’, ‘anti-fashion’ and revival and redesign of past trends that characterises the now?

I’m guessing it will! you know the whole 80′s thing. It might turn into the 70′s or 50′s!

It could even go right back into Roman and Greek stuff, those gladiator sandals are a hit! I think the fashion right now is a sort of back-in-time thing!

Doubt it. Human creativity will continue, we haven’t exhausted all our resources and imagination yet. In the future, new technology and new values in economic and social issues are sure to give rise to brand new fashions.

There is a reason why right now fashion is a back-in-time thing and its because of the economy. The economy is bad, so designers know that their brand new ideas might not be so interesting to consumers. Consumers want to invest something classic that will always be in fashion right now. When the economy picks up again, there will be new fashions out.
Right now its too risky for designers to spend so much money and time on something new that consumers might be scared to buy because they think it’s too revolutionary.

Well, really all of it is just a continuation of everything.. with changes made along the way. It’s not like at the end of the decade, someone comes on the TV and says, “Okay, everyone DROP your stuff and go buy new things!” stuff just kinda changes over time.

I think the next decade will be a continuation of the ‘retro’ sort of trend combined with something new.

I think that’s the way it’s been since the mid 90s, so yeah probably.

It will evolve and we’ll probably experience even more short or no cloths in the future.

I think that designers use ideas from the past but also use them in order to create new items for the present. So in a way there is always new things coming out that designers reinvent from the past or just come up with on there own. I mean the gladiator sandals are really in, but I don’t know of a time in the past 100 years that they were really in? So that in a way is more of a modern 21st century look :)
    Hope I helped :)

no matter how much creativity we humans have, the fashion keeps repeating,eg:gladiators are not a new stuff invented by us designers or something,it is a ‘revived’ version of the old one.
maxi dresses are not something new,ppl used to wear maxis as night gowns all the time, but then someone thought-why not? and made summer dresses in fun materials and a trend started.

each and every single thing you wear is not new, everything had a history that dates back, everything is ‘revived’,but nothing new,so yea fashion’l keep repeating itself.

we think we are ahead in fashion now and chandeliers earrings and graphic t’s are in now,but if u ask ur granma she’l tell u her mom used to wear something similar back then and we laugh it away, but actually what she said is true.

    so yea,everyhing’l be customised,redesigned and revived,nothing new!!
